How do I get Pantone connect premium?

Easy! Long Exposure Sunrise with my iPhone and Lightroom Mobile

This Mobile Phone Photography is addicitve!

A couple of weeks back I headed over to West Bay, Dorset to meet up with my friend Steve Healy and to catch the sunrise.

Taking only my new iPhone 14 Pro Max and SmallRig Univeral Holder, whilst Steve shot away with his Fuji XT-5, I shot using the Lightroom Mobile App and experimented with the long exposure settings.

This is my favourite from our time there before the rain came down and stopped play; still … we were recommended a great café the round corner so alls well that ends well 😃

The BIG thing I’m going to be pusghing myself with more and more this coming year is portability; how mobile and portable can I make my kit and set up with the portraits and content I’m planning on creating.

I’ve certainly found over the past 12 months that the more portable, compact and convenient I make my kit, the more I produce, and it’s using some of this new kit that really excites me about the possibilities ahead.

iPhone Photography at Cardiff Bay

Damn! I’m absolutely loving taking photographs and video with my new iPhone 14 Pro Max. The quality jump from my iPhone 11 Pro Max to this latest model is like a night and day difference.

Last week I popped over to Cardiff to catch up with my friendAnthony Crothers and ended up walking around Cardiff Bay.

Such a great place with a great atmosphere and so many cool places to eat and drink.

Inbetween the rain showers I managewd to grab a few photographs with my new iPhone 14 Pro Max along with the SmallRig Universal for Mobile Phones and my new Benro Tripod … my old Manfrotto had become unuseable from Sea Water damage PLUS it was quite heavy.

Anyway, using the Lightroom Mobile App and the Long Exposure function set to 5 seconds, here’s one of my favourites from time there …

I edited this on my iPhone 14 Pro Max in the Lightroom Mobile App whilst waiting for Anthony to pop back, and have created a Preset from this that I’ll be sending out to members of my email group.

I did a Workshop in Oxford at PhotoHubs

A couple of weeks back I was in Oxford at PhotoHubs on behalf of the Guild of Photographers who asked if I would do a workshop for some of their members.

I've not done 'in person' workshops for a few years now but this was so much fun with such a great group of folks.

I went through how I take portraits in the style of my veterans project but also other equally simple set ups that can create some great results. It was so good to see everyone active , chatting and enjoying the time we spent together. THE most important part of the time together though was showing how important 'talking / conversation' is in making your subject more comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.

At the end I couldn't resist grabbing a quick portrait myself using just one light and one reflector ... I mean when one of the attendees has such a great look, how could I not??? 😃
