Available Now! My NEW Photoshop Lighting Effects Course

After what seems like an age since I created a new course, finally, I can tell you that my new, long awaited Photoshop Lighting Effects Course is Available NOW, PLUS I’m making it available at a reduced price until mining on Friday 20th August 2021.

I’m genuinely over the moon with this one, and cannot wait to hear what you think of it especially as it’s on the new platform where you can stream or download it and carry on from where you left off. I’ve also added in knowledge checks to test learning plus there’s

You could be helping someone and never know it

You could be helping someone and never know it

Thanks to this wonderful, creative industry I've met some incredible people and made some incredible, life long friends.

There's also many friends I've never met because of sharing content and social media, and today I received an email from one such person; a truly delightful man from the USA.

Reading his email it reminds me yet again why I do what I do and that no matter how I may feel at times (I'm only human) I'll continue doing what I love and sharing with others because for some, as crazy as it may sound, it might be the one thing they look forward to and helps

VIDEO REPLAY: Photoshop Lighting Effects YouTube LIVE

VIDEO REPLAY: Photoshop Lighting Effects YouTube LIVE

Last Friday (13th August) at 8pm I hosted a LIVE Broadcast over on my YouTube Channel going through a couple of Photoshop Lighting Effects Tutorial PLUS a workaround for the Colour Grading technique I shared for anyone who doesn’t use Adobe Premiere Pro.

The broadcast ran for about 35 / 40 minutes or so and felt great to be back online, seeing and interacting with everyone in the chat.

The set up I use for the LIVE Broadcasts is so good in that amongst many other things, I’m able to bring comments up onto the screen which makes it so much more interactive.

Anyway, if you weren’t able to catch it LIVE, here’s a REPLAY where I’ve also

Why I moved my website to SquareSpace

Why I moved my website to SquareSpace

If you’re reading this it means you’re on my new website so I hope you find it, a) easy to navigate b) responsive and c) that it looks good.

So, before I get into this I wanted to let you know that at the time of writing I’m not, in anyway, sponsored, affiliated or connected with SquareSpace. The reason/s I’ve made the move and feel compelled to let you know are purely personal because I figure if you’re really pleased with a product or service, then you should let others know.

With that said, here’s a little bit of history…

History

For a number of years, in fact pretty much ever since I started out, my main website had

Photography saved me during the Covid 19 Pandemic Restrictions

It’s fair to say that the Covid 19 Pandemic has affected each and every one of us in one way or another; be it with the loss of a loved one, a friend, or how the restrictions placed upon us have affected our everyday lives.

I can only talk about how it’s affected me, or rather how it could have affected. Now I say ‘could have’ because I know what I’m like and I know, that even with no pandemic to contend with, I’m the kind of person that gets restless and agitated if I’m not constantly working on something new.

As a Portrait Photographer, pre March 2020 it was easy. I had portraits to take and I had my 39-45 Portraits Project which in all honesty, I’m happy to say

EASY Colour Grading HACK in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop

EASY Colour Grading HACK in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop

If there’s one thing that has a BIG impact on your recognisable style, it’s how you colour grade your images.

There are so many ways to do this and a lot of the time it boils down to personal preference, however, imagine if there was a really easy way to take the colour from your favourite movie or tv programme and add that into your pictures!

Well, here’s a hack that I worked out to do exactly that with just one click!

The technique first of all makes use of Adobe's

Mark 'Billy' Billingham (SAS: Who Dares Wins)

Back in May 2019 I was at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon, Wiltshire photographing and filming Mark Billy Billingham (former UK Special Forces and star of TV’s SAS: Who Dares Wins and Who Dares Wins Australia) whilst he was on his ‘An Audience with…’ tour.

Having met up with ‘Billy’ early in the afternoon, we set up on the stage hours before the audience streamed in to take some portrait and promo shots as it was shortly before his first book The Hard Way was released…

Ford Mustang Photo Shoot (Behind the Scenes)

Ford Mustang Photo Shoot (Behind the Scenes)

Seeing as I’ve revamped my website and also tidied up previous blog posts, I just wanted to make sure I included this one from early in 2020 when I spent a day with one of my closest friends, Brian Dukes, and photographed his incredible Ford Mustang.

We photographed it on a former airfield which saw action during World War 2, and is now owned by another great friend of mine Tom as it forms part of his farmland.

You’ll see in the video below, how I lit the image and that was by taking a serious of photographs with a flash positioned at different parts of the car; these images were
